a Perfect Bookstore

If you’re anything like me, you love a good bookstore.  I’m not talking Barnes & Nobles here, but one that reflects the local environment–has a sense of place about it and is more than just a box of retail.

Such is the Montague Bookmill in Massachusetts. It’s now on my “must go to list.”  Check it out!

  1. My favourite is a small shop called Wendel’s (http://www.wendelsonline.com) in the little town of Fort Langley, BC. It’s on a corner and has books on one side of the main entrance and a tiny bistro-style coffee shop on the other. The atmosphere is wonderful; they carry good books; and the food is gourmet. A writing buddy of mine who lives in WA comes up to meet me there for a coffee/book chat session every so often. 🙂
